"We are stronger as a COMMUNITY rather than as individuals. Using our superpowers enables our community thrive"

Our Founder

“I  believe magic can happen when people come together to connect and be vulnerable with one another. I continue to create space for communities to feel safe and validated. Sharing my own lived experiences has helped me connect with communities I serve, having an open and approachable attitude to all the projects I run.”

Where we started…

Words by Founder Camille Lesforis

“Consistently seeing injustices towards people who look like you will impact your mental health... Where do you put your pain?

During the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020 after the tragic murder of George Floyd social media content and news was incredibly heavy and saddening for our community. I struggled to find a healing space that could help me during this time, help me cope, help me unpack my feelings and to simply be held emotionally. Due to the lack of mental health and wellbeing support, I decided to create my own platform called ‘The Black Wellbeing Collective’.

We need spaces to feel heard and understood without having too censor ourselves, without having to over explain or to feel careful in case someone questions our own lived experiences. I wanted to create a space my younger self would have really needed at the time and to feel supported by people who understood her lived experience.

I too have so much racial trauma healing to do, and I know so many others in the Black community do too. As I grow my collective and collaborate with many wonderful practitioners I’ve met along the way, I would love for you to join me on a journey to connect, understand ourselves and enable ourselves to feel supported.

Would you like to join and heal together? "
